We Are Business Professionals with a Goal and Plan
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit group of black business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to see the disadvantaged community flourish by helping the youth in this community become equipped with self-actualization, financial literacy, and business development. We have come together with one single goal and that is to recreate group economics and change the trajectory of the urban landscape, by educating, encouraging, and creating financial freedom as well as business owners. By doing this we foster the opportunity for urban renewal within the community.
At this time we have six board members and a 4 committee members who are devoted to improving the economic development and group economics within the minority community.
We provide several ways to assist youth in learning how to get a wealth of information about personal growth, financial literacy, business development, leadership, and much more. However, we have changed how we teach this information to keep the youth from being bored. By taking the old antiquated way of learn out of the picture, our youth are responsive and engaged.
Our teaching methods are not like most. We prefer the hands-on approach. For example, we believe that it is important for youth to see role models who look like them promoting positive role models, who are encouraging change. Therefore, we look for minority professionals who are connected to the community to come in and teach our youth for them to look up to in the future.
Our methods are not traditional at all. Through games, song, history, art, science, technology, mathematics, engineering and any other avenue, we capture and maintain the attention of our youth, allowing them to learn in a free form environment where they are able to engage while learning the information being taught.
We have learned while teaching youth, many parents struggle with the same issues as our youth. Therefore we have created a way for parents to get the same information which allows parents to have a healthy conversation with their children about financial literacy, business development, self-actualization within the home.
Provide You with the Tools
Aside from education, also provide entertainment for families as a whole to enjoy. We created a musical that we bring to the whole community, where parents and children can learn about becoming financially literate, business-minded, self-confident and aware, and community-aware. We understand that something as simple as a performance can provide an opportunity to help communities become financially stable, and generational wealth can be accomplished. And when parents are included in financial programs they are more likely to teach about money in the homes.
