Community Advancement Resource Training Services (CERTS) Program

The CARTS Program is a compact program designed to go into the school system or after school programs to teach about financial literacy and business development. The CARTS Program can be taught on a regular basis monthly, weekly or daily. Using STEAM and sociology and history students become immersed in financial literacy and business development, but also be taught the self confidence needed to make the necessary changes. It is designed to make the students use creative thinking and ideas as they learn about financial literacy and business development.

This is to inform you that your son/daughter and the whole class will be a part of the learning experience that develops them in Financial Literacy and Business Development organized by the school administrative authority.  The Lemonade Stand Bootcamp, Inc., which is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization uses their program to help our 6th, through 12th graders learn.

We are asking your permission because the classes will combine and some of the information that will be teach African American Studies. Although the main focus is on Financial Literacy and Economic Business Development, young people will also learn about the history of money in business from different eras of time.  In addition, some of the assignments that your child(ren) will be assigned will require them to do research online while in class and possibly set up accounts to help them monitor their credit and scores in the future to enhance their learning experience.

We hereby request your kind permission to allow your son/daughter to participate in this program. It will add to his/her knowledge and learning experiences.
