Katrice recently obtained the black business directory Bantucola where the goal and mission is to enrich the community with information, and local sustainability that will help them regroup in the areas that we hold dear. We will be the driving force to help the black community make informed decisions and encourage them to think of supporting the black community. This is our driving force to rebuild, revive, and recondition it stronger through our influence to propagate black wealth and restructure the black community.
Katrice is also the President and CEO of the Lemonade Stand Bootcamp, where the goal is to help disadvantaged young people see their potential and become financially aware as they begin adulthood. She wants to teach them how to conserve and grow their money. She wants them to learn how to become financially astute in today’s world. So, she is taking the Hip Hop culture and using it for good to help our youth learn about money and how it works in the world.
Katrice is on the board of Whistleblowers of America as a board member. She joined because when she graduated from college and looked for a job in her field, she was discriminated against because of the color of her skin. After going to several companies to fill positions and being rejected, she was forced to create her position as a business owner. Though Katrice never blew the whistle on an employer, due to racism and prejudices, Katrice understands the importance of equality and how unfairly whistleblowers are treated.
